Activity Taster Sessions for Primary School Children
Beara West have collaborated with several clubs and groups to deliver a free session to primary school children. The children get to experience many different activities in the area with no pressure to join the club / group. These sessions will take place over several weeks, starting week beginning 15th September.

Toy Library
We now provide a Toy Library for 0-5 year old. Become a member for €10 per year or €20 for family. Rent toys for one month at a time.

Care Ring – Winter Wellbeing Programme
Recognising the challenges that the winter months can bring, Beara West Care Ring is offering a Winter Wellbeing Telephone Service. If you would like to receive regular friendly phone calls over the winter—just for a chat, a listening ear, or a bit of company—please get in touch. To start, simply phone the Centre on 027 70998.

Citizens Information Talk Series
We’re delighted to launch our new Citizens Information Talk Series at Beara West Resource Centre with Ann O’Donovan. The first session will focus on The Fair Deal Scheme, taking place on Friday, 26th September from 11:00am to 12:30pm. A one to one session is available to chat to Ann after the talk. Meals on Wheels
A team of dedicated volunteers deliver low-cost nutritious meals every Thursday directly to your door. The meals change each week and offer a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Please contact Beara West Family Resource Centre on a Monday to order your meal.
Seniors Alert Scheme
If a monitored personal alarm at home would give reassurance for anyone unwell or living alone, we facilitate setting up the Senior Alert Scheme
Care Ring
Friendly volunteers make social phone calls regularly keeping people connected with their community. Please let us know if you would like to receive a phone call.
Low-cost Counselling
Beara West can connect you with a trained therapist who provide a confidential space for you to talk through any challenges you are facing. This service is available at a low-cost.
Meeting Rooms
We also have meeting rooms available to book, including on Monday & Thursday evenings up to 8.45pm.
