Beara West Needs You!

Would you like to make a difference in your community? Beara West is looking for volunteers to help support our local services, from friendly phone calls, delivering Meals on Wheels to lending a hand at events and activities. Just a little of your time can make a big difference in someone’s life. If you can spare some time and would like to get involved, please contact us on 027 70998 – we’d love to hear from you!

Activities at Beara West have taken off this year, from the Rhythm Room on Wednesdays to the Women’s Group Patchwork Workshop last week; the availability of the Toy Library, Meals on Wheels and more; and the various groups that hold their meetings at the Centre including Parent & Toddler, Unislim, Active Retirement Group and more.

Activities at the Centre are led by the needs of people locally and line up with our ethos to encourage active participation in our community. Get in touch if you’d like to know what activities are coming up.

We support individuals and families in a range of ways from confidential practical and emotional supports to form-filling and various paperwork.

Invitation to Tender – Community Catering / Meals on Wheels Service

Beara West Resource Centre is pleased to invite local catering services to take part in our tender process for the provision of meals for our Community Catering Service (Meals on Wheels). This service provides fresh, nutritious meals to people in our community every Thursday, delivered by our dedicated team of volunteer drivers. The service is primarily funded by the HSE and, as part of this funding, a tender process is required. If you are a catering provider who would like to support a vital community service, we would love to hear from you. Interested parties are asked to complete the supplier questionnaire by March 15th 2026. For a link to the questionnaire, or if you have any questions, please visit our Facebook page or contact Moira on 086 856 0319.
